How we track site visits

We don’t use cookies. Here’s exactly what we do use instead, in plain language.

• Two anonymous IDs, not one

  A random session ID that disappears the moment you close the tab, and a random device ID that stays on your browser until you clear its storage. Neither is a cookie, and neither contains or connects to your name, email, or any identity — they’re meaningless strings that just let us tell “one visit” apart from “one returning visitor,” nothing more.

• What gets counted

  Page views, roughly how many distinct people use the site, which Journey moments get opened, how far someone gets through the Assessment’s questions, your approximate device type and language, and a general sense of how you arrived (e.g. search, social, or a specific link).

• What never gets collected this way

  Your IP address, your full referring web address, your name, or anything you type into any form or question — those are never part of this tracking, on principle.

• Turning it off

  Clearing your browser’s local storage removes your device ID; closing the tab already clears your session ID. There’s no cookie banner because there’s no cookie to consent to — but if you’d still prefer not to be counted at all, browser extensions that block background requests will stop these from sending.
